Ordtek
Founded in 2012 by UXO Specialist Lee Gooderham, Ordtek provides trusted unexploded ordnance (UXO) risk management services for both land and marine developments. Our expert team utilises geoscience techniques to develop risk mitigation solutions which support the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of complex projects.
We don’t just assess UXO risk – We are also conscious of how it interacts with both the natural and built environments. This insight enables us to deliver pragmatic solutions that safeguard people, infrastructure, and progress.
Our passion lies in protecting people from the dangers of unexploded ordnance and playing an active role in the global energy transition. With a track record spanning over 30 countries, we’re proud to deliver this mission worldwide—keeping personnel safe, safeguarding critical infrastructure, and ensuring offshore developments progress smoothly, efficiently, and without delay.
Driven by this global expertise, we’re continually innovating and evolving. We gather and analyse historical intelligence from credible sources to refine our understanding of UXO risk, enhancing accuracy and strengthening our ability to protect projects and people alike.
Our greatest asset is our people. We recruit top-tier professionals from military and commercial geophysical backgrounds, all with the relevant qualifications and accreditations. With decades of hands-on experience and a client-focused, independent approach, our team has earned a reputation for excellence and trust. We support critical operations with confidence, care, and an unwavering commitment to the highest standards.
In 2021, Ordtek officially became part of offshore wind powerhouse, Venterra Group. As a key contributor to the Venterra Geoscience division, we work alongside specialists in Integrated Ground Modelling, Coastal & Marine Processes, and Survey Management to deliver a fully integrated geoscience service for offshore renewable energy projects.
From early-stage feasibility and constraint analysis through to site characterisation and risk management, our multidisciplinary approach unites geophysical, geotechnical, geospatial, environmental, and UXO risk expertise into one seamless, intelligent offering.
Working in harmony, these disciplines not only enhance efficiency—they also drive down risk and enable the successful delivery of offshore renewable projects around the world. The power of our integrated approach lies in its synergy: achieving results no single discipline could deliver alone.
