As Hethel Innovation’s Head of Sales my role is to lead the Sales team and drive our strategy forward.

I love my role as I get to meet all kinds of people and businesses. I especially seeing businesses and people grow during their time with us. Nothing is more exciting than seeing a business go from a small operation with one or two staff to a large and successful organisation. We are fortunate to have seen a number of businesses go through this journey over the past few years, and I look forward to supporting the next cohort through this journey. Similarly watching members of my own team and the wider Hethel Team grow and develop gives me an enormous sense of pride.

My role will be to ensure that our offer is always fresh and relevant focussed on giving great support to businesses in our ecosystem so that they can focus on running their business while we take care of as many of the other day to day distractions as possible.

I love supporting people in all aspects of my life, whether it’s cooking a meal for friends, helping people within my team to develop and grow in their careers or providing support to businesses in the Hethel Network.

I am passionate about leading my team and promoting inclusion and positive mental health in the workplace. These issues are particularly close to my heart due to my experiences with my own Neurodiversity. I hope to build upon my role as a Mental Health First Aider and help to provide a platform to drive innovation and progress in these areas for members of the Hethel Innovation network.

My background is in Sales and Sales Management. I spend my early career working in the automotive industry before undertaking a Master’s Degree in Enterprise and Business Creation.

I started in a junior role at Hethel Innovation nearly 6 years ago in the Business Support Team, delivering support directly to businesses under the ERDF funded, Breakthrough Project. I especially enjoyed sharing my knowledge of sales fundamentals with businesses.

I turned my attention to working on the “Space to Grow” element of the Hethel Innovation offer. Working initially at Scottow Enterprise Park and later across all sites I was able to develop my own team to create a dedicated sales function which is now responsible for over 300 tenancies.

In the future I look forward to helping to develop a wider service offering for members of the Hethel Network to improve their experience even further.

If you could be on any TV Show, what would it be and why?

I would like to be a celebrity chef, I occasionally live out my fantasies by going to the market, squeezing veg and being overfamiliar with market traders.

If you could choose any fictional place to live in, what would it be and why?

New New York from Futurama would be great, loads of colourful characters and a whole universe to explore I’d love to try my luck with the Crushinator.

You’re stranded on a deserted island and can only bring one meal with you to eat indefinitely, what would it be and why?

Rescue Helicopter Pie with a delicious copy of “piloting rescue helicopters for dummies” for pudding.

What would your coworkers be surprised to learn about you?

Very little, I’m a chronic over-sharer.
