It’s almost the 31st of October which can only mean one thing… it’s almost Halloween! Being a relatively fun loving bunch at Hethel Innovation (if you catch us on our good days), we love Halloween. Afterall, Halloween is very on brand for us, pumpkins being orange n’ all… (our brand colours are also orange… ok, admittedly, it’s a very tenuous link!). Anyway, in the spirit of spooky season, we’re holding our second annual pumpkin carving competition. And we want you to join in!

Last year we kept the competition local, asking just our Scottow Enterprise Park tenants to join in. But one of the beautiful things about 2020- we’re always looking on the bright side- is that our realm of influence and community is wider than ever before. As a result, we are using social media this year to make our competition the biggest and best it has ever been meaning that everyone can take part!

Ok, so stop blathering and tell me how I take part!

It’s easy! Simply:

1. Find yourself a pumpkin

Any old pumpkin will do, whether it’s big small, fat or thin, pockmarked and wholly or as smooth as a baby’s bottom

2. Carve your pumpkin into anything you want

Go traditional, get creative, think inside or outside of the box- it’s entirely up to you! Just please make it PG and something you’d be happy for you mother-in-law to see

3. Take a photo of your pumpkin creation

Whether it’s a quick, simple snap or a themed scene that Spielberg would be proud of, any kind of photo is perfect

4. Post your pumpkin pic

Now this is the important bit: Between the Saturday the 31st of October to Tuesday the 3rd of November, post your pumpkin photo on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. Tag @hethelinnovation and include the hashtag #HethelHalloween (here’s some help if you’re not sure how to do this)

5. The winning pumpkin will be voted for via a poll

The deadline to enter the competition is 23:59 on Tuesday the 3rd of November. After this, all entries to the competition will be entered anonymously into a poll which we will ask our Hethel Innovation Community, including our newsletter subscribers and social media followers, to vote on.

The winner of the Pumpkin Carving Competition will be announced on Wednesday the 11th of November after which we’ll arrange to send the prize to the lucky winner!

You in? Excellent, we can’t wait to see your entry. In the meantime, check out our tenant’s carved pumpkin creations from 2019 on our Scottow Enterprise Park Facebook page!
