Scarlett Elvin

I moved into the role of Facilities Management Supervisor at Scottow Enterprise Park in May 2026. I’m learning the ropes, the routes, the rules, and occasionally the hard way. I’m still figuring out which keys open which doors (there are so many doors) and how everyone else seems to know what’s going on.

My days involve a mix of pretending I know exactly where I’m going, discovering new parts of the site entirely by accident, and tackling challenges with the confidence of someone who has decided to simply commit to the bit. I’m responsible for keeping the estate safe, compliant, and running smoothly…

I love working with people, solving problems, and staying relentlessly positive and if I don’t know the answer yet, I’ll find it, ask someone wiser (Thank goodness for Phoebe) or bribe them with charm.

Outside of work, I lavish a perfectly reasonable amount of affection on my cat, try and grow far too many vegetables at my allotment, and spend more time in garden centres than my bank account would prefer.

You’re stranded on a deserted island and can only bring one meal with you to eat indefinitely, what would it be and why?

The tomato and vegetable pasta salad my sister and I made for Food Technology about 25 years ago. Just as a reminder that things, in fact, could be worse.

What would your co-workers be surprised to learn about you?

That I’m much taller in real life than I may appear on Teams.

I can’t fit my hand in a Pringles can, but I can pick up a basketball onehanded.

What 3 things in your bag can’t you live without?

My 2-litre bottle of weak squash, spearmint chewing gum and the empty Starbucks muffin packaging that’s been in there since about 2023.
