Rob Yallop

My name is Rob. I am 55 years old. I have worked all my life making and fixing things with my hands. I don’t like throwing things away if they are broken; I love to fix them. So, I love my job at Scottow and what I do. It can be challenging at times, but having a great team around you helps.

I am estate coordinator /supervisor in the maintenance team,  I love fixing things and making a difference to the buildings, I would love to do more but Rome wasn’t built in a day, I try to keep up with the jobs, I get a great sense of achievement finishing work on Scottow Enterprise Park and the other sites.

Life on Mars,  love the old school 1974 series,  respect to Gene Hunt

If you could choose any fictional place to live in, what would it be and why?

Trumpton and wanted to be one of the fireman, as I spent many years watching this great memories

You’re stranded on a deserted island and can only bring one meal with you to eat indefinitely, what would it be and why?

Mum’s cottage pie, because she makes the best cottage pie

What would your coworkers be surprised to learn about you?

Under that hard exterior, I am a big softie really, like an armadillo hard crunchie on the outside, soft chewy in the middle.

What 3 things in your bag can’t you live without?

Phone, insulin and car keys as I couldn’t get to work
