Professor Fiona Lettice
Fiona Lettice is Emeritus Professor of Innovation Management at the University of East Anglia (UEA) and a highly experienced innovation leader, strategist and non-executive board member. She previously served as Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and Innovation at UEA.
With a career spanning both industry and academia, Fiona brings a strong track record in building partnerships, securing investment and developing the infrastructure needed to support innovation-led growth. She has secured over £40 million in funding for regional research and innovation initiatives and played a key role in shaping the region’s innovation ecosystem, with flagship programmes including Productivity East and Sync the City. She led initiatives such as Civic UEA to strengthen connections between research, business and the wider community, and championed interdisciplinary approaches to major challenges including climate, health and creativity.
Alongside her role with Hethel Innovation Ltd, Fiona holds a portfolio of advisory and non-executive positions, including Trustee Director of the R&D Management Association, Chair of Governors at Norwich High School, Director of TechEast and Norfolk Ambassador. She is passionate about supporting inclusive, place-based growth and enabling businesses and ideas to scale and succeed.
