Olakunle Kayode "Kay"

My name is Olakunle Kayode (PhD), commonly called Kay by colleagues, friends and clients.
At Hethel, my responsibilities include but are not limited to the provision of 1-2-1 support to businesses in the scale-up landscape, working closely with clients and adapting to their needs, proactively identifying new ways to support the businesses. This support may be by supporting clients to develop their business strategies, company structures, project management styles, leadership capabilities as well as marketing and branding strategies etc.
I have BSc in Microbiology and a MSc and PhD in Public Health. Before my time at Hethel Innovation, I worked at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) as a systematic reviewer of evidence for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). I also worked at Innovia Tech Ltd as an innovation consultant with backgrounds in behavioural science and life science. In my role at Innovia Tech, I worked within multidisciplinary teams to solve the most complex innovation challenges for fortune 500 companies across industries like Consumer Health, Food & Beverages, MedTech, FMCG, Pharmaceuticals and Robotics.

Why: Because I am a public health professional and a seasoned life science consultant.
If you could choose any fictional place to live in, what would it be and why?
What: A farm settlement by the sea
Why: Because I love serenity
You’re stranded on a deserted island and can only bring one meal with you to eat indefinitely, what would it be and why?
What: Pounded yam and melon soup made by my late grandma
Why: Because the meal is delicious, filling and I am always nostalgic about it!
What would your co-workers be surprised to learn about you?
I don’t like being outrun by any car on the highway…
