Jamie Pearson
As the HR and People contact for the business, my role is to facilitate and nurture all HILs employees through their employment life cycle, from the initial recruitment stage to their growth and development. I am available to support leadership and management, through all people-related matters. I am available to support during the recruitment practise, learning and development, any employment matters, HR administration and ensure the company complies with current employment legislation through sound policies and procedures.
I come with over 20 years of experience within Human Resources and people management, including freelance HR contracting roles, mainly supporting SME’s and the hospitality industry.
Originally from Wymondham, it’s nice to work with a progressive company so close to my roots. After living and working in New Zealand during my twenties, I have settled back home in Norwich and in my spare time I enjoy renovating my home, which hadn’t been touched since the 70’s, rowing on the river in my little rowing boat and socialising with friends and family.
If you could be on any TV Show, what would it be and why?
Race Across the World! I love the thrill of discovering new countries and exploring different cultures. I might need to be given a bigger budget though; I enjoy a champagne lifestyle (but only have a lemonade budget)!
What would your coworkers be surprised to learn about you?
I have run several marathons and half marathons when I used to be much fitter!
What 3 things in your bag can’t you live without?
Daily moisturiser, mobile phone and a good book!
