As well as being the Managing Director of Hethel Innovation Ltd., Simon also runs a business incubator (Hethel Engineering Centre), and Scottow Enterprise Park.
Additionally, he oversees an enterprise and innovation consultancy, focused on growing the knowledge economy through collaborative innovation, sector focused economic development and business demand driven skills training.
ERDF Program Manager
Alice recently graduated with a BSc in Environmental Sciences from UEA. Alice is passionate about low-carbon technologies and what innovation has in store for the future circular economy. At Hethel Innovation, Alice is developing Cleantech East, a sector network bringing together businesses, researchers, and students in the clean technology sector.
Sector Development Manager - Infotech
William graduated in 2010 and has since worked in variety of electronic focused roles. Since joining Hethel in 2013, William has helped to deliver one ERDF project and secure funding for a second. Now he manages the delivery of Innovation New Anglia project and supports the growth and learning of the rest of the HIL Team.
Sector Development Manager - Biotech & the Bioeconomy
Since graduating in 2012 with a first-class Biology degree from UEA, Aaron has held a variety of research and communication roles. At Hethel Innovation he works with key stakeholders to accelerate adoption of biotechnology and support the development of the regional bioeconomy.
Sector Development Manager - Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering
Philip, a Master of Mathematics joined the team at Hethel to lead on the enabling sectors that are engineering and manufacturing. Through the NAAME network Philip seeks to increase productivity by facilitating collaborations, sharing of best practise and developing the tools to support growth.
Commercialisation Program Manager
Sam graduated with a BSc Psychology degree from the University of Derby in 2016 and joined the HIL team later that year. Currently involved with the LEAP program, he is working with public sector services and aiding them in their respective transitional periods to becoming more commercially focussed.
Having completed a diplomacy-focused degree in history, Kate Lawton joined Hethel Innovation as an Innovation Facilitator in October 2016. She is now involved in the maintenance of the ERDF program and business support.
Business Growth Officer
Cera graduated from University of Nottingham with background in Chemistry, Biotechnology, and Entrepreneurship. She has worked in a range of sectors, primarily in commercialising ideas. She is now developing the Accelerate program to aid the growth of businesses.
